Looking for cherry blossom? You’ve come to the right place!

Kew Gardens Cherry BlossomIt’s cherry blossom season again, and time for my annual cherry blossom report. No, it’s not a guide – I did that last year and if that’s what you want then go straight to London Parks Cherry Blossom Top Five which tells you all you need to know about finding cherry blossom in London. This year I’ve decided to just show you some of the fabulous cherry blossom that is in bloom right now at Kew Gardens, my all-time favourite cherry blossom viewing spot. Enjoy!

These photos were taken at Kew Gardens on 31 March 2014. They have so many varieties that some were still in bud, so for the next couple of weeks you’re bound to find cherry blossom in flower there. Kew is open 9:30 to 6:30 daily and entry is £14.50. Under 16’s free.

  1. Even my small park, next to the Swiss Cottage leisure centre, has a delightful avenue of
cherry blossom. A fair amount of Japanese people live near me. I try to imagine this is a road leading up to a temple in Kyoto.

  2. Gorgeous photos. There’s actually a lovely cherry blossom tree in a little alley in a council estate that I shortcut through to get to my nearest station! Really brightens up the ugly 1960s flats I can tell you!
